The Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea (hereinafter referred to as Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on December 29 that the Gwangju Jeonnam District Bar Association had donated 19.5 million won to help neighbors during the Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign period.
The donation ceremony, held at the Gwangju Jeonnam District Bar Association on the same day, was attended by Jeong Deokan, President of the Gwangju Jeonnam District Bar Association, vice presidents, Heo Youngho, President of Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae, and related staff members.
The donated funds were raised through contributions from the members of the Gwangju Jeonnam District Bar Association and will be fully used as welfare project expenses for neighbors in need of care within Jeonnam Province.
Since 1998, the Gwangju Jeonnam District Bar Association has voluntarily collected donations from its members every year, contributing a total of 446.4 million won to the Hope Sharing Campaign, and this year marks the 27th year of spreading warmth.
Jeong Deokan, President of the Gwangju Jeonnam District Bar Association, said, "We believe that giving back the trust and love we have received from the local community is an important responsibility. We hope that the sincerity of our members will become a small hope for neighbors in need of care, and we will continue our sharing activities in the future."
Heo Youngho, President of Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae, said, "I am grateful to the Gwangju Jeonnam District Bar Association for practicing sharing consistently for 27 years. The donated funds will be delivered with care to neighbors who truly need help, bringing warm changes throughout Jeonnam Province."
