Former Director Oh emphasized the need for change, referring to personnel corruption, investigations involving the head of education, and controversies over appointments of close associates. Regarding education policy, she stated that the core of future artificial intelligence (AI) education should focus on people and character, rather than technology. She pledged to strengthen reading, discussion, and arts and physical education so that every student can learn at least one musical instrument and one sport. She also announced plans to redesign the high school education system to focus on AI, energy, and advanced science, expanding into science high schools, specialized high schools, and international high schools. Additionally, she presented a vision to identify and nurture Gwangju-style STEM 'super talents' from an early stage.

Former Director Oh also stated her intention to ease teachers' teaching burdens and to develop Gwangju's spirit-symbolized by the 5·18 Democratization Movement-into an educational brand recognized worldwide. She has previously served as principal of Daechon Middle School and Duam Middle School, as a superintendent at the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, as Director of the Institute for Creative Convergence Education, and as Director of the Education Bureau. She is currently the Executive Vice President of the Chonnam National University Alumni Association and the head of the Gwangju Education Development Forum.
