According to Shinhan University on December 29, this achievement marks the department's second nationwide first-place ranking, following its previous record in 2020. The department evaluated this as a meaningful result, demonstrating the complete establishment of its practice-oriented curriculum and public talent development programs, which it has been pursuing over the years.

From 2018 to 2025, the Department of Land Administration at Shinhan University has produced a total of 117 successful candidates for civil service and public corporations, setting a remarkable record. The annual breakdown is as follows: 16 in 2018, 16 in 2019, 19 in 2020, 16 in 2021, 18 in 2022, 16 in 2023, 10 in 2024, and 4 in 2025. With consistent results each year, the department has established itself as a premier destination for success in the land administration field.

Kang Sungjong, President of Shinhan University, stated, "The Department of Land Administration, as the only four-year specialized program in the metropolitan area, has become a source of pride for Shinhan University," adding, "We will continue to provide administrative and financial support so that our students can become public talents who serve as the foundation for national development."

A systematic mentoring program was behind this achievement. In November, the department invited alumni who passed the Seoul Metropolitan Government Cadastral Civil Service Examination-Jung Inhyeok (Class of 2016), Jung Iseong (Class of 2016), and Gong Gyeongdeok (Class of 2019)-to deliver a special lecture sharing their success strategies. Additionally, a lecture by appraiser Oh Siwon (Class of 2015) provided students with real-world insights, further motivating current students.

Currently, about 300 Shinhan University alumni are serving as cadastral civil servants and at Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX) across the country. The Alumni Association (President Kwon Hyeokman) is building a virtuous cycle by providing scholarships and practical mentoring to juniors, leveraging this human network.

Kwon Hyeokman, President of the Department of Land Administration Alumni Association, emphasized, "We will continue to expand these exchange activities and provide unwavering support so that our juniors can secure stable employment and adapt quickly to their careers." He added, "The Alumni Association will play a central role in further elevating the department's reputation and creating a virtuous cycle based on our human network."

The Department of Land Administration has presented a new educational roadmap in response to the rapidly changing national land environment: "Fostering Smart Land Administration Professionals Based on Advanced Technology." The department plans to nurture 'smart talents' equipped with four core competencies: practical land administration skills, understanding of real estate policy, utilization of smart technology, and convergence of spatial information, moving beyond simple knowledge transfer.

In addition, the department has established a core competency system to ensure balanced growth of students' abilities: service-oriented (volunteer competency), global-minded (communication competency), practical (creative competency), and academic (challenging competency). This reflects the educational philosophy of developing ethical and professional talents who can contribute to humanity, society, and the nation.

The department's achievements are already recognized externally. At the "2025 University Student Capstone Competition" hosted by the Korean Association of Cadastral Information, Shinhan University's research club LLM team won the Excellence Award for "AI-Based Optimization of Road Facility Maintenance," while the SGLM team received the Encouragement Award for "Application Methods for Road Name Addresses," showcasing their practical research capabilities.

Going forward, the Department of Land Administration at Shinhan University will continue systematic educational innovation based on its departmental vision, accelerating the training of "smart land administration professionals who understand both fieldwork and future technologies." The department is determined to focus on producing competitive experts in the rapidly evolving national land and spatial information industries.

Lee Hyosang, Head of the Department of Land Administration, said, "This achievement is the result of the students' tireless efforts and the unwavering support of the faculty and alumni," and expressed his ambition, "We will further strengthen employment clubs and advanced technology education to leap beyond being number one in Korea and become a world-class department."
