Gyeongbuk Girls' Commercial High School (Principal Kim Byungyun) announced on December 29 that three current students and one graduate passed the 2025 National Level 9 Civil Service Examination for regional talent (administrative series), recording the highest number of successful candidates in the Daegu area.
Since introducing a systematic preparation program for civil service exams in 2015, Gyeongbuk Girls' Commercial High School has steadily produced successful candidates, starting with one in its first year, three in 2023, and two in 2024. With four additional students passing this year, the school has now produced a total of 19 civil servants, demonstrating stable and effective program management.
Four graduates and current students of Gyeongbuk Girls' Commercial High School passed the Level 9 National Civil Service Examination.
First, Jang Seora from the Department of Finance and Accounting overcame her academic challenges in middle school and maintained top grades after entering high school. During her third year, she improved her general knowledge and understanding of national issues through a newspaper clipping assignment from her teacher and strengthened her interview skills through mock interview programs.
Additionally, Jung Sara from the Department of Finance and Accounting chose Gyeongbuk Girls' Commercial High School, which specializes in the regional talent Level 9 civil service track, instead of attending a general high school, and successfully secured early employment through a strategic approach. The school has created an environment that allows students to focus on their studies by fully supporting all costs for dedicated study spaces, online lectures, and textbooks from the first year.
Furthermore, Choi Yejin from the Department of Finance and Accounting cited the school's "emotional management system" for handling psychological crises during exam preparation as a key factor in her success. She overcame periods of slump through close counseling with teachers and a peer learning system. In particular, the mentoring program with successful alumni has been recognized for providing practical guidelines during the interview preparation process.
Principal Kim Byungyun commented on this achievement, saying, "This result is the outcome of students who set their career paths from their first year and diligently followed the school's curriculum, combined with the dedicated efforts of the faculty and staff who supported them. We will continue to provide comprehensive educational support so that our students can grow into outstanding talent in the public sector."
