The training was attended by 517 local farmers and focused on improving technical understanding and field application skills through lectures and Q&A sessions on cultivation techniques and pest control methods for the region’s main crops.

The education program consisted of three courses: apples, beekeeping, and peppers. In particular, there was significant interest in lectures on apple industry trends and pruning techniques. The apple course attracted 326 participants, while the beekeeping and pepper courses had 84 and 107 participants respectively, receiving enthusiastic responses.

The New Year Practical Agricultural Education is a core agricultural training program held annually with the goal of helping farmers establish farming plans, increase productivity, and boost household income. This year’s specialized course was evaluated as having contributed to enhancing agricultural competitiveness by focusing on key crop-specific technologies and strengthening on-site response capabilities.

A Cheongsong County official said, “Through this training, we have laid the foundation for farmers to prepare more systematically for farming in 2026,” adding, “We will continue to expand practical, field-oriented education to do our utmost to improve the practical benefits for farm households.”
