Supply of Existing and Newly Built Purchase-Agreement Homes
407 Units in 7 Locations Across Seoul

The Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation (SH) announced on the 29th that they will launch the second round of the 'General Housing Type Mirinae House (Newlywed & Newborn Purchase-Lease Housing II)' supply on the 30th.

The General Housing Type Mirinae House is a program designed to expand options for newlyweds who have difficulty securing apartment lease deposits. It is supplied at a rental rate of 60-70% of market prices. The first announcement, conducted in August, recorded an average competition rate of 51:1.

This round of recruitment will be divided into two categories: the 2-1st round, which supplies renovated existing housing, and the 2-2nd round, which supplies newly built homes under purchase agreements. Applicants may apply for both categories. A total of 407 units will be supplied across seven locations. The application period will run for three days, from January 21 to January 23 next year.

By type, the 2-1st round for existing housing will recruit 333 units in five areas, including Geumcheon-gu. Of these, up to 30% will be preferentially supplied to (prospective) newlywed couples without children, in consultation with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

The 2-2nd round for newly built purchase-agreement housing plans to recruit a total of 74 units: 38 units in Guro-gu and 36 units in Dobong-gu. Under the purchase agreement, SH signs a contract to purchase homes that will be built in the future and supplies them. Tenants will be selected on a waiting list basis.

If a child is born during the residency period in a General Housing Type Mirinae House, residents can apply for priority relocation to an 'Apartment Type Mirinae House (Long-term Jeonse Housing II)' after 10 years of residence. If they move to an Apartment Type Mirinae House, they will be granted the right of first refusal to purchase after 10 years of residence. If they have two children, they can purchase at 90% of the market price; if they have three children, they can purchase at 80% of the market price.

An SH official stated, "We will continue to expand the supply of General Housing Type Mirinae Houses with premium specifications in locations with excellent transportation accessibility, providing a differentiated residential environment from existing public rental housing."
