BS Hanyang Wins Contract for Geumsong District Housing Redevelopment Project in Incheon

A Total of 3,690 Units to Be Built

BS Hanyang announced on the 29th that it was selected as the contractor for the Geumsong District Housing Redevelopment Maintenance Project, the largest maintenance project in Dong-gu, Incheon, at a recent general meeting of union members.


The Geumsong District redevelopment project involves building a total of 3,690 apartment units in 26 buildings, ranging from four basement levels to a maximum of 45 above-ground floors, on a 162,623-square-meter site in Songnim-dong, Dong-gu, Incheon. The contract construction cost is approximately 910 billion won. BS Hanyang received positive feedback from union members for proposing a premium exterior design featuring curtain wall looks and a grand gate, as well as a large-scale community layout.

The project site is within walking distance of Dowon Station on Subway Line 1, providing excellent access to public transportation. It also offers convenient access to wide-area transportation networks via Incheon-daero and the Second Gyeongin Expressway. Geumsong Elementary School is scheduled to open right next to the complex in March 2028, and Dongsan Middle and High Schools are also nearby. Major supermarkets such as Homeplus and Emart Traders, as well as general hospitals like Hyundai Uvis Hospital and Incheon Baek Hospital, are located close by, enhancing overall living convenience.


A BS Hanyang representative stated, "To repay the support and trust of our union members, we will leverage the construction expertise and know-how accumulated through supplying 230,000 units under the Sujain brand to complete this project as a landmark complex representing Dong-gu, Incheon."


BS Hanyang has successfully completed major maintenance projects in the Seoul metropolitan area, including Hanyang Sujain Graciel at Cheongnyangni Station (1,152 units) and Hanyang Sujain Riverpine at Namyangju Dosim Station (908 units). Last year, the company secured construction rights for key urban maintenance projects nationwide, such as the Sambo Apartment Street Housing Maintenance Project in Busan, the Haengsin 1-1 District redevelopment in Goyang, and the Bugae 4 District redevelopment in Incheon. This year, BS Hanyang has further expanded its presence in the urban maintenance market by winning orders worth over 1 trillion won in areas such as Myeonmok-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul, and the Geumsong District in Incheon.


BS Hanyang has diversified its order channels across urban maintenance, private participation projects, public works, and energy, achieving 2.7 trillion won in orders and an order backlog of 8.4 trillion won this year. BS Hanyang stated, "Based on stable performance in the construction sector, we are expanding into renewable energy projects such as solar and wind power, as well as energy businesses like the Yeosu 'Northeast Asia LNG Hub Terminal,' as we move toward becoming a sustainable company."
