Mega MGC Coffee Opens 7th Store in Ulaanbaatar... 20 Months After Entering Mongolia

Mega MGC Coffee announced on the 29th that it has opened its seventh store in Mongolia, approximately 20 months after entering the market.


In May 2024, Mega MGC Coffee became the first value-for-money coffee brand from Korea to enter the global market by opening its first store in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, is a region where people under the age of 35 make up 65% of the population and there is a high interest in K-culture. Mega MGC Coffee used this as a testbed for its global expansion.

Within one year of entering Mongolia, Mega MGC Coffee expanded to six stores in Ulaanbaatar, and recently opened its seventh store, the first three-story MEGA-class location in Mongolia. The total number of local customers has surpassed 250,000, demonstrating rapid growth.


Mega MGC Coffee has maintained steady popularity in Mongolia, with stores filled to capacity every weekend due to strong local interest in the brand. The diverse beverage lineup and trendy sensibility of Mega MGC Coffee have captivated local consumers. In particular, trendy menu items such as smoothies, frappes, and ades, made with ingredients and recipes rarely found locally, are gaining significant popularity among young people and female customers.


Following the opening of its seventh store, Mega MGC Coffee has already secured sites for its eighth and ninth locations, signaling a full-scale expansion as a global brand representing K-coffee. The company plans to open various types of stores in key commercial districts and tourist destinations throughout Ulaanbaatar in the future.
