According to officials at Gyemyeongwon and others on December 26, on the afternoon of December 22, Mr. A visited Gyemyeongwon in Ganghwa County, Incheon, with his car trunk filled with snacks and drinks. A staff member at the site said, "It is rare for someone to visit the facility themselves at sunset. Both the staff and the children were truly grateful."
It is reported that immediately after his visit, Mr. A paid for 50 bowls of jjajangmyeon at a nearby Chinese restaurant before leaving. He briefly explained, "I just stopped by on my way."
Later, Mr. A posted about his visit on an online community, saying, "With Christmas approaching, I wanted to share a bit of the warmth I give to my own children with someone else." He revealed that he is an ordinary father raising three children in Seoul, and explained that after hearing from the childcare center staff that "the children love snacks," he prepared a small event for them.
Mr. A said, "I'm not saying I did something extraordinary. I just want to convey that 'spending a little less and sharing a little more' can be a great help to someone." He added, "I hope this can serve as a reference for those who are wondering where to start. May Christmas remain a quiet but warm day for everyone."
