On December 26, during an appearance on KBC Radio's 'Park Younghwan's Current Affairs No.1,' when asked by the host, "Have you ever met President Han Hakja?" Na replied, "I have never met her personally," adding, "After losing in the 2020 general election, during my time out of office, I visited a Unification Church facility once with several other people, and that was all." She further commented, "At the time, I didn't even know if it was Cheonjeonggung or whatever."
Na explained, "As for Unification Church events, I was often invited through reporters from media outlets, so I attended a few times," adding, "I don't remember exactly, but I think I attended once when I was the Chair of the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee, and perhaps again when I was the party floor leader."
She continued, "They usually invite people with official titles, and I think I may have seen her from a distance at such events," reiterating, "However, I have never once had a one-on-one tea with her on a personal basis," firmly denying any allegations of involvement with the Unification Church.
When asked whether she had ever received political donations from the Unification Church, Na responded, "There are quite a lot of donors whom I do not know personally," adding, "So I have instructed my staff to look into everyone who has donated to me since I began my political career."
Na stated, "If there were anything to expose about me, it would have come out a hundred times already," and added, "I have absolutely no connection to the Unification Church, yet the Democratic Party keeps making it sound as if there is something, which is absurd."
Additionally, Na emphasized the urgent need to introduce a 'special prosecutor for the Unification Church.' She said, "The Democratic Party is making baseless accusations and just playing for time," and added, "I hope the special prosecutor for the Unification Church is appointed quickly. They shouldn't just talk and stall for time or avoid the issue; a special prosecutor should be appointed quickly to thoroughly reveal all related matters."
