Approximately 200 people, including local artists, residents, and institutional representatives, attended the ceremony to celebrate the successful launch of the project.

This groundbreaking ceremony marked the official start of the project and was organized as a meaningful event bringing together the local community and the arts sector.

The project is expected not only to provide a stable creative environment for local artists but also to serve as a cultural communication space where residents and artists can come together.

The project, with a total budget of 4.7 billion won, aims to support the creative activities of local artists and revitalize the region through cultural and artistic initiatives by establishing key cultural infrastructure.

The Cheongdo Artists' Creative Space Development Project will transform the closed school into a multi-purpose cultural and artistic complex, enabling artistic creation, exhibitions, and exchanges.

The main facilities will include two general creative studios for two people each, one creative studio for two people with accessibility for artists with disabilities, an exhibition space, and a community center. The space is designed to allow artists from various fields to continue their creative activities in a comfortable and stable environment.

In particular, the inclusion of a creative studio for artists with disabilities is significant, as it enhances accessibility and inclusivity in the cultural and artistic sector.

Cheongdo County plans to strengthen the local arts ecosystem through the creation of this creative space and to boost regional vitality based on cultural and artistic content.

In addition, by operating a variety of programs linked to cultural and tourism resources centered around Gakbuk-myeon, the project is expected to contribute to improving residents' quality of life and enhancing local living conditions.

Kim Hasu, Governor of Cheongdo County, stated, "The Cheongdo Artists' Creative Space will become an important hub that connects the community and people through the arts, going beyond simply building a facility," adding, "We will continue to strive for sustainable regional development through culture and the arts."
