This large-scale project will invest a total of 10 billion won. On the 14,012-square-meter site, 28 single-family (multi-family) homes to support youth settlement and one community facility for residents will be constructed.
The residential complex will be divided into customized types to meet the needs of different residents. Specifically, there will be four Family Type A units (84㎡) for households with school-aged children, ten Family Type B units (59㎡) for newlyweds, and fourteen Youth Type units (26㎡) for single young adults, enabling a diverse range of young households to live stably.
A city official stated, "We hope that this Youth Rural Settlement Project will serve as a catalyst for revitalizing rural areas struggling with population decline," adding, "We will spare no effort in providing not only housing but also a variety of support policies so that young people can settle down and nurture their hopes in Samcheok."

Samcheok City plans to accelerate the influx of young farmers and the revitalization of the local community by linking the project with the regionally specialized rental smart farm initiative.
