"I Don't Think I Can Sing Freely Anymore" Yoon Jongshin Cancels Year-End Concert Due to Health Deterioration

Singer Yoon Jongshin, who canceled his year-end concert due to health issues, has shared further thoughts reflecting his struggles as an artist. On the 26th, Yoon Jongshin posted a photo of himself receiving an IV drip on his social media, stating, "I went straight to the hospital as soon as I woke up to try to get my voice back. It's been six days without seeing anyone." He added, "It seems I can no longer sing the way I used to, however I wanted," candidly revealing his concerns about the current condition of his vocal cords and his future performances.

Previously, on the 25th, he personally announced the cancellation of his year-end concert through his social media. Yoon Jongshin said, "I regret to deliver unfortunate news to those who planned to spend an enjoyable year-end with my concert," explaining, "Six days ago, I suddenly developed cold symptoms accompanied by bronchitis." He continued, "After receiving intensive treatment for five days, I pushed through with yesterday's performance, but my vocal cords were in very poor condition," and added, "Even though I was on stage for about two hours, I couldn't deliver a satisfying performance." He further explained, "When I woke up this morning, my condition had not improved, so I decided I could not give a better performance, and ultimately had to cancel the remaining concert schedule."


He also expressed his apologies to the fans who had been waiting for the concert. Yoon Jongshin said, "I am sorry for causing confusion in your precious year-end plans for those who were looking forward to my concert," and announced, "The organizer will provide guidance on the refund process." He added, "I am looking for a venue to hold another concert within February," and requested, "Please give me a chance to make it up to you."


However, although the concert was canceled that day, he still plans to meet with his fans. Yoon Jongshin explained, "My band, the production team, and I will still go to the venue during the remaining concert dates," and added, "Instead of a live concert, we plan to spend time with a radio broadcast or a listening session." Even after receiving refunds, ticket holders can visit the venue at the original concert times to participate in these alternative programs. Yoon Jongshin originally planned to hold the "2025 Yoon Jongshin Concert: What Happened to Me This Year" at Yes24 Wonder Rock Hall in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, from the 24th to the 28th.
