Balanced Achievements in Afforestation and Urban Forest Management
Jangheung County in South Jeolla Province has been selected as the top institution for the second consecutive year in the comprehensive forest administration evaluation conducted by South Jeolla Province. This annual evaluation targets all 22 cities and counties in South Jeolla Province to review the performance of forestry projects and to establish future policy directions.

This year's evaluation incorporated indicators from the joint government assessment and national key tasks, consisting of a total of three categories and 18 indicators. Jangheung County was recognized for its balanced performance in major areas such as afforestation, forest road facility management, urban forest creation and management, and tree planting.
The county received high marks for its project implementation and management system tailored to local conditions. A county official stated, "This is the result of faithfully reflecting national key tasks according to the characteristics of the region," adding, "We will continue to strengthen forest administration so that green resources can contribute to regional value."
