LG Opens Namsan Leadership Center as a Hub for Nurturing Future Talent

Full-Scale Operations Begin with Leadership Training for New Executives
A Core Pillar of Talent Development Alongside the LG Academy

LG Group has established a new educational hub in downtown Seoul to nurture the company's future talent. This reflects Chairman Koo Kwang-mo's commitment to supporting top talent in achieving outstanding results in the best possible environment.

D&O, LG's leisure and real estate development subsidiary, announced on the 26th that the 'Namsan Leadership Center (NLC)', located in Namsan-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, will officially open in early January next year. The center is scheduled to begin full operations with leadership training for new LG Group executives in mid-January. Construction of the facility began in July 2023 and was completed last month. According to LG, the center was built on a site of about 5,050 square meters (with a total floor area of approximately 10,900 square meters) in the Namsan-dong 3-ga area, with four floors above ground and three below, and embodies LG's heritage by reinterpreting traditional Korean aesthetics in a modern way.

The Namsan Leadership Center, together with the LG Academy in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, will be responsible for the group's talent development. While the LG Academy has served as the cradle of talent cultivation for the group for over 30 years, handling large-scale group training, the Namsan Leadership Center will leverage its excellent accessibility in central Seoul to provide leadership education for executives and employees, and will also function as a global business venue. The construction of the Namsan Leadership Center reflects Chairman Koo's strong and consistent emphasis on 'nurturing future talent' since taking office. Chairman Koo has consistently stated, "I will spare no effort to ensure that the best talent can achieve the best results in the best environment."

In addition, LG has created a separate exhibition space within the center to share the group's history and the business stories of each affiliate. This is intended to instill pride and a sense of belonging in the participants of the training programs.

An LG Group representative said, "The Namsan Leadership Center will serve as a hub where executives and employees can develop new strategic perspectives and strengthen their leadership in a rapidly changing business environment," adding, "By operating in close coordination with the LG Academy in Icheon, we plan to maximize the synergy in nurturing talent who will lead the group's future."
