Performances by FUSION MC, O.WHEN, Lyn, and More
Jeonju City in North Jeolla Province will hold the "2025 Jeonju Night Festival" at 8 p.m. on December 31 at Nosong Square in front of Jeonju City Hall.
According to the city on December 26, this year's Night Festival will kick off with performances by the Jeonju City Korean Traditional Music Orchestra and local residents in a pre-event, as well as other performances by local artists and organizations to energize the crowd. The main cultural performance will begin with "Gijeopnori," an intangible heritage of North Jeolla Province.
The cultural performance lineup includes Modern Gugak Project ChaoReum, Jeonju City's honorary ambassador; Just One Hanamu Dance Company, known for media performances; SamSan, a rising star in traditional music among Millennials & Gen Z; the B-boy dance team FUSION MC; singers O.WHEN and Lyn, and more.
Side events will also be held, including "Chalk Art Wish Road," where citizens can fill a car-free street with their New Year's wishes; "Slow Mailbox Postcards," which will be delivered to loved ones one year later; making lucky charms for New Year's wishes and traditional game experiences; a photo booth and photo zone to capture memories of the last night of 2025; and the "Night Festival Sports Day" experience to support Jeonju's bid for the Olympics.
In particular, the Night Festival will reach its climax with the 2026 New Year countdown, a drum performance to announce the new year, and a fireworks display to light up the sky for the arrival of 2026.
To ensure the smooth operation of the 2025 Jeonju Night Festival and to prevent safety accidents, the city will sequentially restrict traffic around Nosong Square, starting at 7 p.m. the day before the event on Munhwa Square Road, until the end of the event.
For the convenience of citizens attending the Night Festival, temporary parking will be provided at Homeplus Wansan Branch (8 p.m. to 1 a.m. the next day), Pungnam Elementary School (8 p.m. to 1 a.m. the next day), and the Korea Traditional Culture Center parking lot (6 p.m. to 1 a.m. the next day). Model drivers will be stationed in major traffic control areas to provide guidance.
