Jeonju University and Daitec Research Institute Join Forces to Cultivate Physical AI Specialists

Jeonju University and Daitec Research Institute have joined hands to cultivate specialized personnel in physical AI.

On December 26, Jeonju University announced that it had signed a business agreement on December 24 to foster specialized personnel in the field of physical environment simulation and demonstration based on physical AI.

This agreement, led by the Jeonju University AI Innovation Convergence College Project Group, aims to establish a step-by-step customized education system for Daitec Research Institute employees, students, young adults, and current workers. The system will connect theoretical education, field practice, and industry collaboration. The two institutions will jointly operate a semester-based program that can be linked to academic credits, as well as practical, work-centered programs.

Through this, they plan to share human and material resources and expertise with each other, and to promote demonstration-based education focused on solving real-world problems. Their goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of local industries and to contribute to building a sustainable talent ecosystem.

Starting with the 'NVIDIA Omniverse Practical Training' scheduled for the end of this month, the two organizations plan to continuously expand project-based learning (PBL) that reflects the current issues of local companies and research institutes, as well as employment-linked programs designed to help participants settle in the region.

Go Sunwoo, head of the AI Innovation Convergence College Project Group, said, "This agreement is an important starting point for cultivating practical talent who can be immediately deployed by linking the existing AI education of the AI Innovation Convergence College Project Group and the physical environment construction education provided by the Immersive Media Innovation Convergence College Project Group." He added, "We will actively support the stable settlement of talented individuals in Jeonbuk Province who will grow in the field of physical AI, which is emerging as a key new industry in the region."
