Kiturami Scholarship Program Continues for 41 Years, Supporting 2,763 Recipients This Year

A Total of 2.6 Billion Won in Scholarships Provided

Kiturami Group announced on December 26 that, through its "2025 Kiturami Scholarship Program," it has produced 2,763 scholarship recipients from 42 local governments across the country this year.


Starting with Gyeongsan City in North Gyeongsang Province in February, scholarships were awarded over the course of a year to 42 local governments nationwide, from Seoul to Jeju. Scholarship recipients were selected in each region, and a total of 2.6 billion won in scholarship funds was provided.

The Kiturami Scholarship Program, Kiturami Group's flagship social contribution initiative, has been ongoing since 1985. Choi Jinmin, the founder of Kiturami Boiler and Chairman of Kiturami Group, established the Kiturami Cultural Foundation with his personal assets and began the scholarship program. To date, the cumulative number of students selected through the Kiturami Scholarship Program has reached approximately 70,000.


The Kiturami Cultural Foundation has contributed approximately 55 billion won to its main initiatives, including the scholarship program, support for academic research, and development funds for educational institutions. Chairman Choi personally attended Kiturami Scholarship Award Ceremonies held by local governments nationwide this year, from Gyeongsan City in February to Iksan City on the 19th, to encourage the scholarship recipients.


A representative from Kiturami Group stated, "We hope that the students selected through the Kiturami Scholarship Program will devote themselves to their studies in their respective fields and grow into talented individuals who contribute to the development of Korea's industries. We will continue our talent development activities to provide equal educational opportunities and deliver hope to members of local communities."
