The city revised and promulgated the “Enforcement Rules of the Paju City Water Supply Ordinance” and the “Enforcement Rules of the Paju City Sewerage Usage Ordinance” on the 26th to promote electronic notifications instead of paper bills and to enhance payment convenience for citizens.
According to the revised enforcement rules, citizens who receive individual water bill notifications and apply for both electronic notification and automatic payment will receive a discount of 300 won per month on water supply fees and 300 won per month on sewerage fees, for a maximum total discount of 600 won per month. The discount will be applied starting from bills issued in January 2026. Existing applicants will automatically receive the discount.
Applications can be made at any time through the Paju Waterworks Local Water Supply Portal or the National Secretary website. For more details, citizens can contact the Korea Water Resources Corporation customer center or the Paju City Waterworks Department.
Park Juntae, Director of the Environmental Bureau, stated, “Electronic notification not only makes billing and payment more convenient, but also helps protect the environment by reducing paper usage. We will continue to promote eco-friendly policies that citizens can truly experience.”
