Polaris AI has been awarded a commendation from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy in recognition of its contributions to the AI transformation of Korea's manufacturing sector and the strengthening of industrial competitiveness.

Polaris AI announced on the 26th that it received this honor at the 'M.AX Alliance 1st General Assembly' held at the Seoul Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the 24th.

The M.AX (Manufacturing AI Transformation) Alliance is a public-private partnership jointly launched by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry to promote the adoption of AI in manufacturing. Companies, research institutes, and academia participate to accelerate the spread of AI across manufacturing sites.

For over 20 years, Polaris AI has been active in the home appliance industry and the ICT convergence ecosystem, leading the digital transformation (DX) of Korea's home appliance sector and the spread of AI technology. In particular, the company has focused on the potential for domestic AI semiconductors (NPU) to be applied in industrial settings, moving beyond the foreign-dominated AI accelerator environment.

This award recognizes Polaris AI's efforts, in collaboration with Sixfab and DeepX, to validate on-device AI architectures based on domestic NPUs and to steadily accumulate real-world use cases in manufacturing and home appliance environments. Polaris AI has proven the potential of domestic technology in industrial environments that require low power consumption and real-time inference, thereby establishing a foundation of technological reliability and broader adoption.

Additionally, Polaris AI has contributed to the development of AI software stacks and the creation of development environments, building a foundation that enables not only large corporations but also small and medium-sized manufacturers to internalize AI technology. As a result, the company has been credited with invigorating the domestic AI semiconductor industry and expanding the manufacturing AI ecosystem.

A Polaris AI representative stated, "We are honored that our efforts to achieve tangible results in manufacturing AI transformation through the field application of domestic AI technology and industry-academia-research collaboration have been recognized. We will continue to expand use cases so that AI technology based on domestic NPUs can become a competitive advantage in industrial settings."

Meanwhile, Polaris AI is the exclusive domestic partner for the CES 2026 Innovation Award-winning product 'Alpon X5', which is equipped with a domestic NPU, and plans to further promote the distribution of edge device-based AI solutions.

In addition, Polaris AI is expanding its industrial safety solutions business alongside the AI transformation of manufacturing. The company has begun supplying the next-generation bodycam 'Workforce Mini' from global public safety technology company Axon in Korea, and is targeting the physical AI solutions market in private industries such as healthcare, retail, logistics, and services.

With this award as a stepping stone, Polaris AI plans to further expand the application of domestic AI technology in industrial settings and continue to enhance AI competitiveness across the manufacturing and home appliance industries.
