Hwangnam-dong Tumuli Complex Illuminated by 500 Swarm Drones
Families and Visitors Enthusiastically Respond
On December 24, Gyeongju City hosted the "Christmas Drone Art Show in Collaboration with Bread Barber Shop" at the Hwangnam-dong Tumuli Complex, offering citizens and tourists a special year-end memory.
This drone art show featured 500 swarm drones, combining the popular character Bread Barber Shop with a Christmas theme. The spectacular nighttime performance received an enthusiastic response from the audience in attendance.
On the 24th, at the Hwangnam-dong Tumuli Complex, 500 swarm drones decorated the night sky by forming the phrase "Merry Christmas" during the Christmas Drone Art Show held in collaboration with Bread Barber Shop. Provided by Gyeongju City
Prior to the drone show, a Bread Barber Shop character costume photo zone operated for about an hour, drawing children and families and heightening the festive atmosphere of the event.
This event was part of the "Gyeongju City Swarm Drone Art Show Demonstration Project," which aims to provide citizens and tourists with unique nighttime tourism content and to discover new growth engines in the culture and tourism sectors through the use of drones.
This demonstration project was held a total of 10 times this year, including this event, commemorating the 100th anniversary of Gampo Port, Citizens' Day, National Heritage Night Tour, and more.
Joo Nakyoung, Mayor of Gyeongju City, said, "It is meaningful to present a special nighttime event that citizens and tourists can enjoy together for Christmas," adding, "We will continue to expand culture and tourism content utilizing drones so that the unique charm of Gyeongju can be experienced even at night."
