Wrong-Way Crash in Georgia: Korean Husband and Pregnant Wife Both Die

Newlyweds Married for Six Months Die in Wrong-Way Crash

Following a wrong-way driving accident in Georgia, USA, in which a Korean man lost his life, his pregnant wife, who had been receiving treatment for critical injuries, and their unborn child have also passed away.


According to the donation site GoFundMe on the 25th, Lexi Waldrup, the 25-year-old wife of the late Choi (25), has died. Waldrup was 15 weeks pregnant, and the unborn child could not be saved.


Previously, on the 21st (local time), the Choi couple was involved in a four-car collision caused by a wrong-way vehicle near Athens, in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. In this accident, Mr. Choi died at the scene, and Waldrup, who had sustained critical injuries, passed away on the fourth day of hospitalization.

The couple had just married in June. Waldrup's father, Aaron Bedgood, stated on the website, "Lexi, who fought her injuries, has left us, and we are preparing for her funeral with indescribable pain," adding, "I hope she will be buried next to her husband so that they can be together forever."


Meanwhile, the driver responsible for the wrong-way accident, Desiree Browning (26), also died at the scene. The Athens Police Department in Georgia is investigating the entry route of the offending vehicle and the cause of the accident.
