Meal Kit and Deli Sales Rise Over 20% from Previous Month

Emart announced on the 24th that it will hold a "Simple Year-End Gourmet" discount event to help customers easily prepare food ahead of the year-end season, when gatherings such as year-end parties are frequent.
First, Emart is offering a 20% discount off the regular price when purchasing one of the three signature Peacock meal kits, which are perfect for enjoying with family or friends, and a 30% discount when purchasing two or more.
The featured products include "Peacock Chuck Cube Chop Steak," which contains tender chuck steak and various ingredients for foolproof cooking; "Peacock Cheongyang Butter Steamed Clams," which combines pre-cooked clams with the flavors of white wine, garlic, and Cheongyang pepper butter; and "Peacock Shrimp Gambas," a great choice for wine pairings or home parties.
Frozen ready-to-eat meals that can be easily heated in the microwave, such as "Peacock Sous Vide Beef Hamburg Steak (160g)" with a tender and juicy texture thanks to sous vide cooking, and "Peacock Bolognese Penne Pasta (350g)" packed with minced beef, are also available at a 20% discount.
Kitchen Deli's freshly prepared foods, which the whole family can enjoy together, are also being offered at discounted prices. The signature product is the "Signature Fried Platter," launched for the year-end home party season, available for 19,980 won-a 6,000 won discount-with Shinsegae Point accumulation. This generous party pack includes a variety of fried items such as large shrimp and squid tempura, Kitchen Deli's popular boneless fried chicken, wing sticks, and French fries, all served with three types of sauces.
In addition, the "Herb Pepper Roast Chicken," made from domestic No. 10 chicken roasted with a special herb pepper seasoning for a lean and savory taste, is available for 9,980 won-a 3,000 won discount-with Shinsegae Point accumulation. The "Sushi-e Prime Pack (24 pieces)" is also available for 23,980 won-a 6,000 won discount-for a generous portion of sushi.
Emart planned this event to help customers easily prepare large-portion party foods at home during the year-end season, which is filled with gatherings such as year-end parties. In fact, from December 15th to 23rd, about nine days ahead of the year-end, sales of Kitchen Deli foods at Emart increased by approximately 20% compared to the same period in the previous month.
In addition to convenient ready-to-eat foods, Emart is holding a "US & Australian Steak" promotion, offering US beef (chuck, outside skirt, boneless short rib) and Australian lamb (French rack, shoulder rack) at a 30% discount with Shinsegae Point accumulation until the 31st. For year-end gatherings, the "Crema Blanc de Blancs Brut (750ml, France)" sparkling wine is available for 9,900 won-a 50% discount-when purchased with an event card.
Marketing manager Jung Woojin stated, "We have prepared a discount event for convenient foods to celebrate the year-end season, when gatherings are frequent," adding, "We hope our customers can prepare year-end party foods at reasonable prices and spend happy times with family and friends."
