Active Administrative Achievements Lead to 'Excellent' City Selection

Suncheon City has once again been selected as an excellent city in the 2025 Jeollanam-do Regional Economic Revitalization Evaluation, following last year's recognition.
The 'Jeollanam-do Regional Economic Revitalization Evaluation,' organized annually by Jeollanam-do Province, is a system designed to revitalize the local economy by discovering and spreading outstanding economic policies.
This year's evaluation was conducted based on the economic policies implemented throughout 2025 by 22 cities and counties within Jeollanam-do Province. The evaluation covered four main areas and 16 indicators: ▲ issuance of livelihood recovery consumption coupons ▲ price management ▲ revitalization of the social economy ▲ support for small businesses and traditional markets. A comprehensive review was conducted on the achievements in promoting regional economic revitalization.
Suncheon City was selected as an excellent city for the second consecutive year, in 2024 and 2025, due to its efforts in issuing livelihood recovery consumption coupons, managing prices such as freezing public utility fees, and actively implementing administrative measures.
A city official stated, "This year, we applied the highest-ever discount rate to the Suncheon Love Gift Certificate and issued 200 billion won, while also making our best efforts to restore the livelihood economy through financial support for small businesses and the activation of the public delivery app Meokgaebi. We will continue to implement policies that provide tangible warmth to the local economy and support struggling ordinary citizens."
