Chakhan Doctor Strengthens Checkup Hospital Competitiveness with 'AI Follow-up Observation SaaS' Amid Telemedicine Institutionalization

Viva Innovation Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Han), which operates the health checkup platform 'Chakhan Doctor', announced that it will present differentiated strategies to strengthen hospital competitiveness by introducing an 'AI Follow-up Observation SaaS' exclusively for checkup hospitals, in line with the institutionalization of telemedicine.

Telemedicine has so far been operated mainly as a pilot project, but as discussions on its institutionalization have recently gained momentum, the overall operation of medical services is undergoing significant changes. In this changing environment, the medical field is increasingly focusing on how to efficiently manage follow-up and observation after health checkups, rather than just the act of medical treatment itself, as this has become a key factor in determining hospital competitiveness.

The follow-up observation market based on health checkup results has already existed within the institutional framework, but there have been significant disparities in the level and method of management depending on each hospital's staffing and system conditions. In particular, managing patients with abnormal findings and providing guidance for additional examinations have placed a burden on both medical and administrative staff, and this area has been continuously highlighted as needing digital transformation.

To address these challenges, Viva Innovation is offering its health checkup follow-up observation solution, 'Chakhan Doctor PMS', which has obtained third-grade digital medical device approval, as a medical AI SaaS exclusively for health checkup hospitals. This solution supports a range of functions based on health checkup result data, including: ▲ sending result reports ▲ viewing results for each patient ▲ automatic generation of comprehensive opinions ▲ automatic classification of patients with abnormal findings ▲ guidance for additional examinations ▲ management of job stress and cerebro-cardiovascular opinion reports ▲ conversational AI health consultations ▲ remote monitoring, and more.

'Chakhan Doctor PMS' is designed not to replace a doctor's diagnosis or prescription, but to support the management, guidance, and monitoring of checkup results using medical device technology. This allows hospitals to utilize the system in telemedicine environments without institutional burden. As a result, hospitals can standardize follow-up observation management, which previously varied by institution, to a certain level or higher.

In particular, Viva Innovation is rapidly accumulating practical experience in the area of remote follow-up observation. From 2021 to 2022, the company conducted a health management support project based on follow-up observation for employees with abnormal findings at LG Electronics. It has also been selected as a final participant in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's '2025 Smart City Regulatory Sandbox', and plans to conduct practical demonstrations of a model that includes initial remote consultations, post-checkup follow-up observation, and result consultations based on health checkup data.

The operational experience and data accumulated through these demonstrations are being incorporated into the advancement of hospital follow-up observation protocols and the design of medical AI SaaS. This is being utilized to stably implement an operational structure that connects checkups, management, and additional examinations even in remote environments.

Furthermore, this solution enables the continued operation of additional and re-examinations focused on patients with abnormal findings even after the peak checkup season, which is expected to help ensure operational continuity for hospitals during off-peak periods when demand for checkups decreases.

Park Han, CEO of Viva Innovation, stated, "Effective health management through checkups requires essential follow-up observation and post-management, but in reality, hospitals have not been able to fully implement these due to practical constraints. Viva Innovation will continue to advance its AI follow-up observation SaaS to support checkup hospitals in achieving stable operations and sustainable competitiveness, even in remote environments."

Meanwhile, Viva Innovation is providing integrated healthcare services that cover the entire health checkup journey-including test recommendations, reservations, payments, result confirmation, and post-checkup follow-up observation-at more than 500 partner hospitals nationwide. In addition, the company is accelerating its transition to a hospital-focused medical AI SaaS provider, as demonstrated by winning two Innovation Awards at CES 2025, acquiring ISO 27001 and 27701 international standard certifications, and obtaining regulatory approval for AI-based medical devices.
