The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education signed a business agreement for employment promotion with the Gyeonggi Provincial Council and the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled at Yedamchae in the Gyeonggi Provincial Council building on the 24th.
This agreement was established as part of a cooperative effort to continuously create jobs for people with disabilities and to realize social value, based on mutual trust among the three parties, in order to fulfill the mandatory employment obligations for people with disabilities.
Under the agreement, the three organizations will cooperate in various areas, including: conducting and identifying job surveys to create employment opportunities for people with disabilities; strengthening collaboration to expand participation in preparatory courses for the appointment of teachers with disabilities; introducing and operating a part-time fixed-term public official system for people with disabilities; promoting the activation of linked employment at standard workplaces for people with disabilities through the procurement of goods and services required by schools at all levels; expanding the scope of recognized field training programs for special education students; and implementing workplace awareness improvement initiatives for people with disabilities.

In particular, each organization plans to establish a cooperative system to promote the employment of people with disabilities and to communicate closely in order to reduce the employment levy for people with disabilities.
They will also establish follow-up implementation systems, such as forming and operating a working-level consultative body, to ensure the smooth progress of cooperative initiatives.
Lim Taehee, Superintendent of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, stated, "The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is striving to increase the mandatory employment rate for people with disabilities and is also working to identify special recruitment opportunities for people with disabilities," adding, "If we focus our employment efforts after the establishment of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Special Education Center next year, we will be able to hire even more personnel."
He continued, "If the Provincial Council takes an active role, I expect that the efforts of the Office of Education will produce tangible results even sooner," and added, "I hope this business agreement serves as an opportunity to provide the best Christmas present for students receiving special education and for people with disabilities."
