7% Grocery Rewards and Tving Partnership Benefits
SSG.com will launch a new membership program called 'SSG Seven Club' in January next year, featuring a 7% reward on grocery shopping and Tving online video service (OTT) as its core benefits.
The main feature of SSG Seven Club is the '7% fixed reward on grocery shopping.' When customers purchase grocery items through SSG Delivery (daytime, early morning, or Traders), SSG Money is automatically credited. SSG Money can be used not only on SSG.com but also at other Shinsegae Group affiliates, including Emart, Shinsegae Department Store, and Starbucks.
There will also be partnership benefits with the OTT service Tving. Rather than including this as a standard benefit, the company will offer it as an optional feature that customers can select, and it will be introduced at a reasonable price.
The reason SSG.com is focusing its benefits on grocery shopping rewards is that the reliability of Emart-based products is its key competitive edge. Since products are shipped directly from Emart stores nationwide, the quality competitiveness is maintained even online. This advantage is particularly evident in fresh food. From January to November this year, 8 out of the top 10 best-selling items in 'SSG Weekly Delivery' were fresh food products.
An SSG.com representative said, "We will take a leap forward with a membership program that significantly increases perceived benefits by adding OTT services to our overwhelming grocery rewards," adding, "We are also preparing a variety of additional benefits exclusive to SSG.com, which will be unveiled in January."
