Grand Prize in Metropolitan City Public Enterprise Category
Recognized for Carbon Neutrality Achievements in Urban Regeneration
Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) received the Grand Prize in the Metropolitan City Public Enterprise category at the 2025 Korea Low Carbon Awards.

This awards ceremony, organized by the City Regeneration Safety Association (CRSA), was established to highlight the achievements of public institutions and local governments in implementing low-carbon policies and to identify and promote outstanding organizations leading the way in carbon neutrality.
Busan Urban Corporation received high marks in various areas, including strengthening community-based low-carbon initiatives such as organizing and storing items in homes of vulnerable groups and managing household waste, as well as providing consulting support for cooperatives in urban regeneration project areas to help them produce eco-friendly products.
Additionally, the corporation supported the development of sales channels for eco-friendly products through the Busan Urban Regeneration Expo, promoted living lab projects for the production of local eco-friendly agricultural products, and implemented home repair support projects, thereby contributing to the establishment of a sustainable local foundation.
Busan Urban Corporation also systematically managed Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport-type urban regeneration projects and received positive responses for implementing public contest-based support for eco-friendly product production and market development.
President Shin Changho of Busan Urban Corporation stated, "This award is an official recognition of the achievements of our low-carbon initiatives carried out through urban regeneration projects," adding, "We will continue to pursue eco-friendly management in the field of urban regeneration through proactive carbon neutrality efforts."
