Sodam Square Gangwon as a Digital Transformation Hub
Achievements in Supporting Small Business Growth
Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 24th that Sodam Square Gangwon received an A grade in the annual evaluation conducted by the Korea Small and Medium Business Distribution Center for nine Sodam Squares nationwide on the 15th, securing 700 million won in national funding.
This year, Sodam Square Gangwon operated support programs for 905 small businesses and 1,990 products, surpassing its original targets of 705 businesses and 1,520 products.
The main support programs included online content production, sales channel expansion discount events, live commerce, customized support for star small businesses, and support for entering Gangwon The Mall. Through these initiatives, a variety of projects were carried out to help small businesses in the province expand online and strengthen their digital competitiveness.
In particular, the online discount event linked with Gangwon The Mall saw participation from 160 companies and 320 products, achieving sales of 714 million won. The second live commerce competition was operated in a way that allowed small business owners to participate directly as show hosts, receiving a great response through live broadcasts on Small Business TV and social media.
In addition, through the "Promote Our Company" program, promotional content was produced and aired for 35 companies, and five star small businesses were selected for intensive support. In these ways, Sodam Square Gangwon is strengthening its role as a hub for the digital transformation of small businesses.
Kim Manho, Director of Economic Affairs for Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, said, "Sodam Square Gangwon is establishing itself as a key platform supporting the digital capacity building and online market entry of small businesses. We will continue to identify and support outstanding small businesses in the province to foster their growth."
