This commendation was established to recognize the students' contributions to the promotion of veterans' culture through their talent donation, as they produced promotional content commemorating the 80th anniversary of Liberation and the "Turn Toward Busan" campaign.

The recipients included a total of 10 students: six members of the "Mongttang Team" (Cho Minung, Oh Yuna, Ha Hyunbin, Kim Gayoung, Kim Dahyun, and Yoon Hyunsoo), who created a promotional video for the 80th anniversary of Liberation and short videos introducing six representative independence activists from Busan; and four members of the "Buddy Team" (Ha Sungmin, Kim Sungeun, Jeon Jiyun, and Choi Doeun), who produced a promotional video for Turn Toward Busan and an introduction video for the veterans' character "Bobo."

The students were highly praised for independently handling the entire content production process-from planning and filming to editing-leveraging their academic expertise, and for effectively conveying the meaning of veterans' affairs from a youth perspective in an accessible and relatable manner.

The Busan Regional Veterans Office explained that this collaboration provided an opportunity for university students to independently understand the value of veterans' affairs and spread this awareness throughout society, confirming the potential for veterans' culture to expand across generations.

Lee Namil, Director of the Busan Regional Veterans Office, stated, "The students' creative ideas and talent donation have provided an opportunity for people to feel closer to veterans' affairs," adding, "We will continue to expand youth participation in veterans' promotion through ongoing collaboration with local universities."
