Buk District in Gwangju Earns Grade 2 in Integrity Evaluation... Among the five autonomous districts in Gwangju, three districts received a Grade 3 in this year's comprehensive integrity evaluation. Gwangsan District remained at the lower end, recording a Grade 4.


According to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission on the 23rd, the results of the 2025 comprehensive integrity evaluation of public institutions, which assessed 709 organizations including central administrative agencies, local governments, and public service-related organizations, showed that Buk District received a Grade 2 in the comprehensive integrity evaluation, earning a relatively favorable assessment. Its grade improved by one level compared to the previous year, reflecting positive changes in both perceived integrity and internal efforts. It achieved the most stable results among the five autonomous districts in Gwangju.


Dong District and Nam District remained at Grade 3, the same as last year, while Seo District improved by one grade to reach Grade 3. Gwangsan District was evaluated at Grade 4 in the comprehensive integrity evaluation, marking the lowest performance among the five autonomous districts.


Although Dong District showed improvement in some detailed indicators, this did not lead to an upgrade in its overall grade. Nam District maintained the same grade as the previous year, remaining stagnant without notable change.


In terms of perceived integrity, Buk District received a Grade 2, while Nam District, Dong District, and Seo District (which improved by one grade) were rated as Grade 3. Gwangsan District dropped by one grade to Grade 4.


For integrity efforts, Dong District, Seo District, Buk District, and Nam District all received Grade 2, while Gwangsan District received Grade 3.
