The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (hereinafter referred to as Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on December 23 that Mujin Machinery Co., Ltd. donated 50 million won to support ESG viewing and education for the climate and endangered species special exhibition "Earth in Crisis, SOS" held at the National Gwangju Science Museum.
The donation ceremony, held on December 18 in the medium conference room on the third floor and the Hall of Fame at the National Gwangju Science Museum, was attended by Cho Seong-eun, CEO of Mujin Machinery Co., Ltd., Lee Jeong-gu, Director of the National Gwangju Science Museum, Kim Hong-yoon, Chairman of the National Gwangju Science Museum Sponsorship Association, and Park Heung-cheol, Secretary General of Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae.
The donated funds will be used for the operation of the special exhibition, which aims to raise awareness about the seriousness of global environmental crises such as climate change and biodiversity loss. They will also support ESG viewing and environmental education programs for youth and citizens. Through this act of sharing, it is expected that future generations will be able to understand climate crisis issues more easily and vividly, and that awareness of a sustainable society will be enhanced.
Cho Seong-eun, CEO of Mujin Machinery Co., Ltd., stated, "The climate crisis and the threat of extinction are no longer distant issues, but realities we all face," adding, "Beyond corporate social responsibility, we decided on this donation to contribute to environmental education and raising awareness for future generations."
