Expected to Create 899 New Jobs
Chungnam Province has made attracting domestic and international corporate investment a core growth strategy, and is now accelerating efforts to strengthen regional industrial competitiveness by securing a total of 435.5 billion won in investments from 18 companies.
With this investment, the province expects to significantly expand the foundation of advanced industries and manufacturing overall, as well as to generate substantial employment and production effects.
On December 23, the province signed investment agreements in the main conference room of the provincial government building, attended by the mayors or deputy mayors of six cities and counties, along with representatives from 18 companies.

The number of new jobs to be created is expected to reach 899.

In Seocheon, Yeonwoo, a tissue and wet wipes company, and Sensortech, a chemical reagent detection equipment company, will each build or expand factories, while in Yesan, MB Materials, a protective film company, has confirmed a new investment.
The province anticipates that these investments will generate 600 billion won in production inducement effects, 250 billion won in value-added inducement, and create 3,400 jobs.
Governor Kim Taeheum stated, "With this agreement, Chungnam has attracted more than 43.72 trillion won in total investment from 317 domestic and international companies," adding, "This will not only enhance the competitiveness of advanced industries such as secondary batteries, semiconductors, and automobiles, but also serve as a turning point for diversifying the structure of the manufacturing sector."
He further emphasized, "We will provide comprehensive support-from site and equipment subsidies, to permits, and workforce supply-to ensure that corporate investments lead to success."
