This special inspection was organized to prioritize the safety of students participating in winter on-site training and to strengthen the support system so that on-site training can be smoothly connected to employment.

The inspection took place at Danjeong Bio Co., Ltd., located in Wonju. Danjeong Bio is a company specializing in the development of functional cosmetics and food ingredients using natural resources from the Gangwon region. The company closely collaborates with vocational high schools and actively recruits local talent. Currently, three students from Chuncheon Hansem High School and Wonju Medical High School are participating in on-site training at this company.

The special inspection team visited the company to check for risk factors in the bio and manufacturing work environment, focusing on compliance with safety regulations when handling chemicals and the use of personal protective equipment.

More than ten people attended the special inspection, including Deputy Superintendent Oh Seongbae, the head of the Wonju Office of Education, the head of the vocational education team at the provincial office, the principal of Wonju Medical High School, and the supervising teachers.

In addition, the inspection team reviewed both the company's recruitment plans and the students' job satisfaction to ensure that on-site training leads to genuine employment opportunities rather than simply providing labor. The team also worked closely with the company to ensure that students can be converted to regular employees without unfair treatment at the end of their training.

The Gangwon Provincial Office of Education is actively promoting the "employment first, study later" system to help students continue to develop their expertise even after employment. The office encourages companies to support concurrent learning through special admissions for employees and guides students on various career paths that allow them to obtain degrees after employment, supporting their future planning.

Deputy Superintendent Oh Seongbae stated, "On-site training is the first step for students as they enter society and an important process for shaping their dreams. We will do our best to establish a virtuous cycle so that vocational high school students in Gangwon can train in a safe environment, achieve stable employment, and continue their learning."
