According to the detailed evaluation results, Wando County Council maintained its Grade 2 rating in the perceived integrity category, the same as the previous year, while its integrity effort rating improved by one grade to Grade 2 compared to last year.

The council has been able to consistently maintain a stable level of integrity as perceived by external stakeholders, while also strengthening internal system improvements and practical efforts. Wando County Council has regarded the enhancement of integrity not merely as a response to evaluations, but as a fundamental principle of legislative activities, and has continued to make various efforts in this regard.

The council invited a professional instructor from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Integrity Training Center to provide integrity education and special lectures on anti-corruption laws for members and staff. After the training, a pledge ceremony was held to reinforce the commitment to integrity. Additionally, campaigns to promote a culture of integrity were conducted during the Chuseok holiday, and efforts were made to eradicate the exchange of gifts or entertainment and to establish a culture of fair performance of duties.

Chairman Kim Yanghun stated, "The improvement in the integrity effort rating while maintaining the perceived integrity rating reflects the internal changes and practical actions of the council. I believe that strengthening integrity education, operating preventive-oriented systems, and fostering a voluntary atmosphere of practice have all contributed positively."

He added, "Integrity is an indicator of how much the residents can trust the council. Until the end of my term, I will continue to make integrity a core value of legislative activities and strive to build a transparent and responsible council."

Meanwhile, in the same evaluation, Wando County received a comprehensive integrity rating of Grade 4, a drop of two grades compared to the previous year. Its perceived integrity rating fell by two grades to Grade 5, while its integrity effort rating was Grade 3.
