The so-called "Injection Aunt Gate" controversy surrounding broadcaster Park Narae is now spreading to other celebrities. A past broadcast showing Hyunmoo Jun receiving an intravenous drip inside a vehicle has resurfaced, leading to suspicions of illegal medical practices and prompting the police to begin verifying the facts.

On December 23, The Sports Kyunghyang reported that the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul had received a complaint requesting an investigation into whether Hyunmoo Jun's intravenous drip treatment inside a vehicle violated the Medical Service Act. The police have assigned an investigative team to look into the matter. The purpose of the complaint is to determine the legality of the medical procedure performed by an unidentified medical professional or related individual who administered the intravenous drip to Hyunmoo Jun.

The complaint also references a statement made by webtoon artist Kian84 during his acceptance speech at the 2019 MBC Entertainment Awards, where he said, "Hyunmoo Jun also filmed while receiving an IV drip." Investigators have been asked to review the video and context of this comment to assess its connection to the now-controversial scene of the intravenous drip inside the vehicle.

Additionally, suspicions have arisen due to claims that Hyunmoo Jun's name appears on the social media following list of the individual known as the "Injection Aunt," prompting calls for objective verification using relevant data.

The current controversy began when a scene from the 2016 MBC variety show "I Live Alone," in which Hyunmoo Jun received an IV drip while traveling in a vehicle, was recently brought back into the spotlight. Previously, Park Narae, SHINee Key, and Eatzzipeun Haetnim had suspended their activities after facing allegations that they received illegal medical procedures from the "Injection Aunt." Amid this, questions have arisen as to whether Hyunmoo Jun is also involved in similar suspicions.

As the controversy grew, Hyunmoo Jun's agency, SM C&C, released a statement on December 19, saying, "At the time, Hyunmoo Jun was not in good condition and received a diagnosis and treatment from his doctor at a hospital. Due to a tight filming schedule, the doctor determined it was unavoidable to complete part of the treatment while in transit, and this process was partially shown on the broadcast."

The agency added, "Except for the final stage, all medical procedures were carried out inside the hospital under the judgment and prescription of medical professionals. There was no instance of personally calling a medical professional or receiving an illegal procedure."
