Yangpyeong County Holds Wheat Cultivation Technology Training

The 2025 Yangpyeong Wheat Cultivation Technology Training for high-quality Yangpyeong wheat production was held on the 22nd at the Yangpyeong County Agricultural Technology Center.

The training was attended by 60 farmers currently cultivating Yangpyeong wheat and those aspiring to do so. The program included an explanation of the 2026 Yangpyeong wheat industry development plan, as well as systematic training on wheat cultivation techniques, covering winter wheat management, harvesting and drying, and major pest and disease control.

To foster the wheat industry in 2025, the county has implemented a variety of initiatives to improve food self-sufficiency, such as the Yangpyeong wheat production incentive support project, the operation of the Yangpyeong wheat farm work agency, the establishment of Yangpyeong wheat production pilot complexes, and the Yangpyeong wheat consumption promotion support project. In addition, to expand the sustainability and ensure a stable supply base for Yangpyeong wheat, the county plans to further strengthen the production foundation by allocating a budget of 1.5 billion KRW for the "Small-Scale Yangpyeong Wheat Production and Processing Pilot Complex Project."

Meanwhile, the Agricultural Technology Center plans to actively gather a wide range of opinions from current and prospective Yangpyeong wheat farmers through this training and reflect them in the wheat industry development plan to ensure the project's effectiveness.
