Gyeongnam Baseball Softball Association Holds '2025 Gyeongnam Baseball Day'

The Gyeongnam Baseball Softball Association (hereinafter referred to as "the Association") held the Gyeongnam Baseball Day event at the International Lions 355C District Hall in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon Special City.

The event, held on the 22nd, was a meaningful occasion to look back on the year 2025. It was attended by approximately 200 representatives of Gyeongnam baseball, including coaches from elementary, middle, high schools, and universities, as well as executives and staff from 18 city and county baseball associations. The event featured an awards ceremony honoring those who contributed to the development of baseball in Gyeongnam, and was held in conjunction with the 2025 regular board meeting.

Kim Sangsoo, President of the Association and host of the event, stated, "This year, we have worked tirelessly to elevate the status of Gyeongnam baseball by organizing national elite baseball tournaments and provincial-level sports-for-all baseball competitions. At the heart of these efforts are the Gyeongnam baseball community members gathered here, who have united with one mind and purpose." He added, "Next year, we will host and attract even more tournaments to spread the excitement of baseball throughout the province."

Kim Oyong, President of the Gyeongsangnam-do Sports Council, delivered a congratulatory speech, saying, "The Baseball Association is one of the best-managed organizations among the 70 affiliated sports federations in Gyeongnam. We will continue to provide unwavering support to further expand the foundation of baseball and softball in the province," expressing encouragement to the baseball community members in attendance.

Meanwhile, the Association has secured the hosting rights for the 2025 Shinsegae Emart National High School Baseball Tournament, organized by the Korea Baseball Softball Association, as well as the KBO Education League in Gyeongnam. This year, the Association was also recognized as an outstanding organization for event management at the 54th National Youth Sports Festival held in Gyeongnam.
