The Student Planning Evaluation Group is a program that allows current students to directly collect opinions on all aspects of university education and reflect them in the curriculum and university operations. It has been operated since 2019 with the goal of creating a student-centered educational environment.
This year, the 7th evaluation group consisted of 69 teams and 154 students, who identified a total of 84,000 suggestions for educational improvement. This is a significant increase compared to last year's 23,000 suggestions, indicating that student participation-based educational innovation has been further expanded.
Not only Korean students but also international students participated as members of the evaluation group, offering perspectives from diverse backgrounds. The group conducted in-depth interviews with a total of 1,440 students, covering six areas: general education, majors, academic administration, extracurricular activities, student welfare and support, university environment, and adaptation to university life and academics.
The Center for Educational Competency Innovation at Pukyong National University's Office of Educational Innovation will comprehensively analyze the collected data and announce the final results report in January, which will then be shared with all university members.
At the final report meeting, students from the evaluation group presented their activity reports and UCC presentations, followed by awards for outstanding teams, certificate presentations, and UCC screenings, providing an opportunity to reflect on their achievements so far.
Won Yongseon, Director of the Office of Educational Innovation, stated, "The diverse opinions proposed by students will serve as valuable foundational data for establishing university policies, including curriculum reform and facility improvements. We will continue to promote student-centered educational innovation by expanding student participation."
