Flash of Fire from Hanbit-Nano After Launch
Innospace's first commercial launch vehicle, 'Hanbit-Nano,' is presumed to have exploded shortly after liftoff on the morning of December 23.
Hanbit-Nano was launched at 10:13 a.m. KST from the Alcantara Space Center in Brazil. The launch was broadcast live on YouTube, but after a successful liftoff, the screen froze with a caption stating, "An unexpected anomaly has been detected during flight."
According to launch footage shared on social media, about one minute after launch, a flash appeared on Hanbit-Nano as it soared into the sky, followed by a massive burst of flames engulfing the rocket.
It has been reported that Innospace is working to assess the situation through its local technical staff. No official announcement has been made yet.
