On December 22, Ansan City announced that it had held a meeting with Hyundai AutoEver at City Hall to discuss ways to implement the "Navigation-Linked Public Parking Lot Smart Guidance Pilot Project."

During the meeting, the two parties discussed several topics, including: Hyundai AutoEver's parking lot service; collection and integration of public parking lot parking data; selection of pilot project parking lots; operation and management strategies; and the possibility of future business agreements and service expansion.

This project is a service that not only provides the location of public parking lots via in-car navigation, but also offers real-time guidance on available parking spaces near the driver's set destination. The city expects this will enable faster and more efficient parking, improving convenience for drivers.

Ansan City plans to continue providing administrative and technical support in cooperation with Hyundai AutoEver to ensure the smooth progress of the pilot project. In particular, the city will gradually review the potential for service expansion by providing public parking lot operation data, cooperating with on-site demonstrations, and analyzing the results of the pilot project.

A representative from Hyundai AutoEver stated, "We will provide services that allow citizens to park conveniently through mobility data and navigation technology," adding, "We plan to gradually expand the proven model developed in cooperation with Ansan City."

Min Geun Lee, Mayor of Ansan, commented, "The introduction of smart parking services is expected not only to ease vehicle flow by reducing unnecessary circulation driving, but also to contribute to carbon emission reduction."

The mayor added, "We will continue to expand cooperation with private companies and integrate advanced technologies across the entire smart city ecosystem."
