Muju County Publishes and Distributes "Health QR Happiness ON" Booklet

Information on Child and Maternal Health, Infectious Disease Prevention, and More

Starting December 24, Muju County in North Jeolla Province will distribute the "Health QR! Happiness ON!" booklet, which contains a variety of public health programs and health information.

According to the county on December 23, this booklet is designed to support customized health management across the life cycle. It provides an easy-to-understand summary of the various public health programs that will be implemented by the county health center next year.

The booklet will be distributed to all households, with a focus on heads of households under the age of 65. It will also be placed in local senior centers for communal reading by residents aged 65 and older, as well as in related institutions such as social welfare facilities, comprehensive welfare centers for persons with disabilities and seniors, family centers, and regional self-sufficiency centers, ensuring that all county residents can easily access it.

In addition, the booklet is organized to provide at-a-glance information on essential health topics for each stage of life-infancy, adolescence, adulthood, and old age-including vaccination schedules, chronic disease management, physical activity, and dementia prevention programs, as well as other public health and health promotion initiatives.

In particular, the booklet offers a wide range of useful information necessary for healthy living, such as child and maternal health, infectious disease prevention, lifestyle improvement (including walking, smoking cessation, and reducing alcohol consumption), senior health management, mental health and suicide prevention, and the current status of local health centers, clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies.

By utilizing QR codes, the booklet provides detailed guidance on its contents. It also connects to online resources such as health information videos and social networking services (SNS), greatly enhancing both the usability and accessibility of the information-an innovative change that has drawn attention.

Lee Jiyeong, Head of Health Administration at Muju County Health Center, stated, "The newly published 'Health QR Happiness ON' booklet meets both design and functionality needs. We used large fonts, wide line spacing, and clear color contrasts to make it easy for the elderly to read, and incorporated visual elements to intuitively convey complex data."

She added, "Another feature is the design, which reflects Muju's natural environment and local identity to create a friendly and trustworthy image. We will continue to promote public health through a variety of online and offline campaigns to further improve the health of our residents."
