The Korea Organ and Tissue Donation Agency announced on the 23rd that Kim Haeum (11) donated her lungs, liver, and both kidneys at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital on November 7. Thanks to Haeum's donation, a total of four people were given a new lease on life.

According to the agency, in August, Haeum began experiencing a sudden headache while sleeping, and her symptoms persisted, leading to her being transported to the hospital. The medical team diagnosed her with meningitis and provided intensive treatment, but Haeum never regained consciousness and was ultimately declared brain-dead.

Her family desperately hoped that Haeum would wake up, but her condition gradually worsened, and the medical staff explained that recovery was unlikely. After much deliberation, the family agreed to organ donation, hoping that Haeum would leave behind a beautiful legacy by saving the lives of others.

The agency stated, "The family agreed to the donation, believing it would bring them comfort if the recipients regained their health."

Born as the youngest in her family on Christmas Eve, Haeum was remembered by her family as a loving child who often expressed her affection. She had a bright and energetic personality, loved to dance in front of people, and had many dreams, often saying she wanted to become a flight attendant and travel to many countries.

Haeum's mother, Yang Areum, said, "I am so sorry for having to let you go first," adding, "I will live cherishing the warmth that Haeum left behind." She continued, "I hope you can do everything you want and be at peace in heaven," offering her final farewell to her daughter.
