Strengthening Comic Content Drives User Growth
Fantasy Web Novels Also Lead Expansion
Ridibooks, a content platform company, announced on December 23 that it achieved a record-high daily transaction amount of 5.6 billion won as of December 19.
Throughout this year, Ridibooks strengthened its content competitiveness by focusing on globally popular comics, significantly expanding its user base. The "Comics Are Ridibooks" campaign, which featured hit titles such as "Jujutsu Kaisen" and "Wind Breaker," played a key role in attracting new customers and boosting transaction amounts. The lineup of classic standalone volumes, including "Slam Dunk" and "Eyeshield 21," also contributed to securing a broad fan base of comic readers.
In the web novel sector, the fantasy genre led the growth trend. Major works such as "Another World Misunderstanding Hunter," which recorded high cumulative sales, along with "This Novel Is Not My Novel" and "A Monster Lives at 36 Poster Street," gained significant popularity and drove the growth of web novel transactions.
Additionally, a variety of marketing activities and the expansion of strategic partnerships contributed to broadening the user base. Ridibooks enhanced the platform experience by collaborating and linking memberships with various brands, including LG Electronics, CU, and Baemin.
A Ridibooks representative stated, "This year, our strategy to strengthen content competitiveness and expand our user base resulted in meaningful achievements," adding, "We will continue to enhance the platform's competitiveness by focusing on a differentiated lineup of works."
