On December 23, the display board at the Hana Bank dealing room in Jung-gu, Seoul showed the won-dollar exchange rate and the KOSPI, as the exchange rate soared past 1,480 won for the first time in eight months and even surpassed 1,483 won during intraday trading. On this day, the won-dollar exchange rate opened at 1,480.0 won, down 0.1 won, but the upward trend is continuing.
