The Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Kim Byungjun) announced on the 23rd that the Seoul Metropolitan Party Committee of the People Power Party (Chairperson Bae Hyunjin) has donated approximately 120 million won to the Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign to help neighbors in need during the year-end and New Year season.
The donation ceremony was held the previous day in Meeting Room 1 of the National Assembly Members' Office Building in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by Bae Hyunjin, Chairperson of the Seoul Metropolitan Party Committee of the People Power Party, hundreds of party members including National Assembly members affiliated with the Seoul Metropolitan Party Committee, as well as Kim Byungjun, Chairman of the Community Chest of Korea, and Hwang Insik, Secretary-General.
This donation was raised through the campaign “Gathering the Hearts of Party Members to Raise Seoul’s Temperature! - Love Donation Fundraising Campaign,” which was led by the Seoul Metropolitan Party Committee of the People Power Party from December 8 to 21. Numerous party members voluntarily participated in the campaign, and the donations will be used to support vulnerable groups in Seoul during the year-end and New Year period.

Bae Hyunjin, Chairperson of the Seoul Metropolitan Party Committee of the People Power Party, stated, “We gathered the hearts of our party members to bring even a small amount of warmth to our neighbors enduring the cold winter. I hope this act of sharing raises the temperature of giving in Seoul and serves as a starting point for a warm year-end season.”
Kim Byungjun, Chairman of the Community Chest of Korea, said, “The donations you have delivered seem to embody the warm hearts and solidarity of the community for neighbors enduring the cold winter. The funds delivered today will be used where they are most needed, so that vulnerable groups in Seoul can have a warmer winter.”
