Actual gold was discovered in the Pantech Sky feature phone released in 2009.
On December 22, a video titled "This time, gold in a cellphone?" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'RingRingUnni,' which is run by a gold and silver shop owner.
The product brought in by the customer in the video was the "Dupont Edition (SKY X Dupont)" model from Pantech Sky. This was a limited edition phone released in collaboration with the French luxury brand S.T. Dupont, and it gained popularity at the time as a high-end feature phone.

After the YouTuber separated and analyzed the gold-colored logo part of the product, it was confirmed that pure 18K gold was used. The weight was approximately 1.01 grams (about 0.27 don), and at the time of measurement, it was valued at around 150,000 won.
