Attracting 300 Participants
The "Community Lecture" series operated by Gyeongnam Information College, known as "Busan's Leading Community College," for Busan citizens, has been steadily attracting public interest.
Since November, Gyeongnam Information College has offered a total of 12 free community lectures, utilizing the educational expertise of its professional faculty and on-campus infrastructure. For this round, 300 citizens participated on a first-come, first-served basis, drawing significant attention from the local community.

This program was designed as an open lecture series so that anyone in the community could experience college-level education without burden, in line with the college's vision of being a "university for all." The lectures focused on topics closely related to everyday life.
The courses covered a wide range of fields, including health, beauty, media, psychology, companion animals, cooking, and everyday literature.
Key topics included: △The K-Dica Poetry Craze Takes Off on Social Media △Lifting Beauty Care & Creating Your Own Foam Cleanser △Transforming Your Image with Personal Color △Healthy Scalp, Voluminous Hair △Creating Reels & Short-Form Videos with Your Smartphone △Techniques for Courage Against Inferiority Complex △Pet Aromatherapy & Healing Massage △Daily Nail Care & Art △Obesity ZERO! Customized Exercise Prescription △Healthy Teeth, Healthy Life △I Can See Your Heartbeat △Mediterranean Cooking Class with Black and White Chef, and more.
Each lecture was led by faculty members and field experts, and operated as practical, hands-on classes tailored to the needs of citizens. The program received positive feedback for lowering the barrier to higher education and providing practical benefits for daily life.
Lee Sungwook, Head of the Innovation Support Project Group, stated, "Gyeongnam Information College planned this community lecture series as part of the Ministry of Education's College Innovation Support Project, to give back to the Busan community for the support we've received over the past 60 years. We will continue to fulfill our role as a community college open to everyone-a true 'university for all'-in partnership with the local community."
Buoyed by the strong response from citizens, Gyeongnam Information College plans to continue offering the community lecture series in 2026.
