Kakao Pay’s Small Business Support Program "Long-lasting Partnership" Connects 400,000 Consumers Over Three Years

Pop-up Store Support Saves 6.44 Billion Won in Costs

Kakao Pay, in collaboration with the Together Foundation, publicly announced the results of its three-year-long small business mutual growth campaign, "Long-lasting Partnership," on December 22.

"Long-lasting Partnership" is Kakao Pay’s flagship mutual growth program, designed to discover small business brands with growth potential and help them expand both their sales channels and capabilities. From 2023 to this year, Kakao Pay has provided multifaceted support to help small businesses develop new sales channels and strengthen their business capabilities.


Over the past three years, Kakao Pay has discovered a total of 264 small business brands and established dedicated sales channels, such as offline pop-up stores and online malls. Through these efforts, the campaign attracted a cumulative total of 400,000 visitors and contributed to raising public awareness of small business brands.


In particular, the company provided practical support for pop-up store operations-an area where small businesses face the most difficulties-by assisting with space setup, merchandising staff, and marketing, resulting in significant cost savings. According to the company, compared to operating their own stores during the same period, participating brands saved approximately 6.44 billion won in operating costs and 151,824 hours in operating time.


Beyond simply providing sales channels, the program also offered tailored education and promotional support to enhance the self-sufficiency of small businesses. Kakao Pay provided a total of 941 hours of practical training in areas such as tax, accounting, branding, and marketing, and produced 854 pieces of branded promotional content, achieving over 11.24 million cumulative exposures.


According to a survey conducted among participating brands this year, satisfaction with educational support reached 98.2%, while support for sales channel expansion (96.7%) and promotional activities (94.2%) also received positive evaluations.


Yoongeun Lee, Head of Kakao Pay ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Council, stated, "Long-lasting Partnership has focused on expanding the points of contact between small business brands and customers while reducing the operational burden on business owners. Going forward, we will further enhance our support system and build a sustainable mutual growth model to continue growing together with our small business partners."
