Firefighting Underway with Preemptive Response
At approximately 3:32 PM on December 22, a fire broke out at a factory in Eoryong-dong, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, prompting the fire authorities to begin firefighting operations.

According to the fire department, around 40 workers were inside the factory at the time of the fire. Fortunately, all of them managed to evacuate on their own before the flames spread, and as of now, no casualties have been reported.
Taking into account the scale of the fire and the potential for it to spread to nearby buildings, the fire department preemptively issued a "Level 1 Response" at around 4:01 PM. Eighteen pieces of firefighting equipment and 34 personnel have been deployed to the scene to focus all efforts on extinguishing the fire.
Pocheon-si also notified residents of the fire via emergency text messages, urging those in the vicinity to exercise caution and asking vehicles to take alternate routes around the area.
A fire department official stated, "We are currently focused on extinguishing the fire, and as soon as the flames are under control, we will investigate the exact cause of the fire and the extent of property damage."
